Tamara Osipova was born in Moscow.
(1924-1989)
• 1939 Entered the First Moscow Secondary Art School (graduated, 1944).
• 1950 Graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named for Surikov with an MA Studied under Vera Favorskaya and Ivan Chekmazov, and later, in the studio of Sergei Gerasimov, which was the most prestigious studio in the Institute. Gerasimov was tutor of Osipova's graduation work "Nahimovtsy" (Young Naval Officers). Osipova participated in all major art exhibitions, including: Young Artists', Russian, Regional, Moscow, All-Union and foreign.
• 1954 Joined the Artist's Union of the U.S.S.R.
• 1976 Held a solo exhibition devoted to the 200-th anniversary of the Bolshoi Theater Well-known for her ballet paintings.
Her artworks are held in the collections of the Bolchoi Theater Museum, a number of regional museums, and numerous private collections in Russia and abroad.
